Eligibility Requirements
- Completion of 12th Standard (Higher Secondary Education).
- Prerequisite: Participation in at least one Counselor Training Programme (CTP).
- Ensuring a baseline understanding of counseling principles.
- Applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
Theory Papers
Paper 1: Foundations of Family Therapy
- Historical perspectives and evolution of family therapy.
- Major theoretical models: Systems theory, Bowenian therapy, Structural therapy, Strategic therapy.
- Ethical considerations and professional conduct.
Paper 2: Advanced Concepts in Family Therapy
- Specific family issues: divorce, remarriage, blended families, trauma.
- Cultural considerations in family therapy.
- Emerging trends in family therapy research and practice.
Practical Paper
- Supervised practice sessions with families.
- Case study analysis and report writing.
- Role-playing and simulation exercises.
- Emphasis on developing core competencies: assessment, intervention, and evaluation.
- Minimum 50 hours of direct client contact required.
- Practical exams include live observation and case presentation.
